There are many benefits to buying seasonal fruit and veg; it is usually cheaper when bought in season and is often grown locally, not only helping the local economy, but also helping to ensure it arrives in store perfectly ripe and ready for consumption. Studies have also shown that when fruits and vegetables are in season, they are often more flavorsum and contain more nutrients.
