Certsure has appointed SME Insurance Services (SMEi) to provide insurance solutions to tradespeople in the UK, under the trading name of NICEIC and ELECSA Insurance Services. The appointment is part of Certsure’s commitment to ensuring contractors receive high quality insurance solutions which provide value for money*.

NICEIC and ELECSA Insurance Services provide affordable, high quality options for a wide range of tradespeople, from electricians and electrical contractors to heating, plumbing and gas engineers. These products include liability insurance, such as public liability and professional indemnity, and extensions including business interruption and tools cover.

Under the terms of the appointment, SMEi will manage the operation of NICEIC and ELECSA Insurance Services, which brings together the previous NICEIC Insurance Services and ELECSA Insurance Services schemes. A new, user-friendly website -  www.niceic-and-elecsa-insurance.com - featuring a ‘quote and buy’ facility provides clients with more choice in how their cover can be arranged. Other insurance being offered includes cover for commercial vehicles, shops or offices, and personal insurance such as private car or home insurance.

Brett Forster, Head of Business Development at Certsure, commented: “We are committed to helping contractors develop their business. This new relationship with SMEi will make it easier for tradespeople to access advice and guidance, competitive premiums, and flexible contractors insurance with enhanced features and increased limits, compared to the previous NICEIC Insurance Services and ELECSA Insurance Services schemes.”

SMEi is a specialist commercial insurance broker dedicated to arranging insurance for small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. SMEi holds a gold Feefo award in recognition of consistently delivering positive customer services over the last 12 months. **

Paul Buckle, Managing Director for Schemes and Affinity on behalf of SME Insurance Services, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed by Certsure to manage NICEIC and ELECSA Insurance Services. Our aim is to be the insurance provider of choice for all registered contractors; we take pride in the assistance we provide to our clients, as demonstrated by our gold Feefo award for customer services. This gives contractors peace of mind, leaving them to focus on the task of running a successful business, safe in the knowledge they have chosen the insurance that’s right for them.”
