Even the most skilled practitioner can experience a momentary blip in concentration or slip of the hand. Treatment and aesthetics professional indemnity insurance can provide protection should you face a claim for malpractice or negligence. For example, a reaction to a treatment or an infection from a beauty treatment. This essential insurance could cover compensation claims and any associated legal costs defending your claim.
Our customers have access to a specialist scheme that’s tailored to the needs of the industry at a competitive price. We can also provide quotes from other providers so that you can compare the options.
As with any business, there’s always scope for something to go wrong. But aesthetics businesses and advanced beauticians do offer high risk treatments. Therefore, we advise that you have adequate insurance to protect yourself, your clients and your business.
Yes, we have options for both medics and non-medic aesthetic practitioners. You’ll need to discuss the treatments you offer as well as your qualifications and experience with your broker and they will find a policy to suit your needs.
You’ll need to have accredited training certificates for all of the treatments you offer. You’ll also need to be able to prove that you have NVQ level 3 or equivalent training certificates from a UK-accredited training provider. This is particularly important if you offer injectable treatments and have at least 6 months post-qualification advanced beauty experience.
Yes, we have options for both mobile and salon based aesthetic practitioners.
This really depends on your business and the treatments you offer. It’s worth ensuring you have enough cover for the worst case scenario so that you’re not exposed to treatment risk claims.
There are a number of business insurance covers that aesthetics practitioners should consider. The most common are employers liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance, public and product liability insurance. Your broker will help you select the right covers for your business.
