  • Incomplete entries, entries on behalf of another person and joint or syndicate entries will not be accepted.
  • Any number of different entries can be accepted. In the event of a duplicate of the same entry, only the first submitted entry will be considered for the competition.

  • The submission social media post requires the chosen photo and use of #SMEiHairFails.
  • The submission photo should show yourself or a willing friend or family member. Permission must be gained before the photos are entered if you are under the age of 16 or if the photos are not of yourself.
  • The type of haircut and any other criteria of the picture will have no effect on the results of the competition.
  • The hashtag #SMEiHairFails must be included in the social post, for inclusion in the competition.
  • Social profiles must belong to yourself and can be posted from your personal account.
  • Entries must be submitted and live by the closing date of midnight of 6 October 2017.
  • Users may enter more than one photo but will still only count as one single entry into the random winners’ selection.
  • Entry photos may be in black and white or in colour.
  • You can enter an image of your hair dressing fail taken at any time in the past.
  • Retouching / manipulation of digital images is accepted, provided this is kept to a minimum so as not to detract from the haircut and that all works are original works and not copies of other people’s works.
  • Any copied or stolen images from a source which is not your own will be disqualified.
  • All photos that do not meet the criteria or do not meet these terms and conditions will be deleted.
  • Entrants must only upload images that do not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to, ownership, copyrights, trademarks, patents, logos, licensing rights, rights of publicity or privacy or any other intellectual property rights.
  • Participants warrant that any person featured in their photo has given their express permission and any entrant (aged under 18 years) has parental or guardian consent to enter or be shown in the entry photos.
  • The winners will be selected at random, with each entrant gaining a single entry.

  • There will be four winners selected at random from entries that satisfy the criteria listed in the Terms & Conditions.
  • The competition winners will be selected at random and will not be based on any elements of the entry submitted, and the adhering to the Terms & Conditions. The number of retweets, likes and shares will not be a deciding factor.
  • The winners will be selected and notified by SMEi after the closing date of midnight of 6 October 2017 and as soon as possible thereafter.

  • The prizes for the four winners will be:

  • This permission covers all forms of use including without limit television, print, online (including SMEi’s website and social channels), newspapers, magazines, digital and social media and all other forms of media now and in the future anywhere in the world.
  • The licence is royalty-free, irrevocable and the period of usage is unlimited.
  • By entering this competition entrants agree to participate in media interviews should it be requested.
  • Entrants hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold SMEi harmless from and against any and all losses, and all claims by third parties, resulting from an entrant’s breach of any of these terms and conditions.
